Koskie Minsky University Lecture in Labour Law, University of Western Ontario
November 14, 2017
The 9th Koskie Minsky University Lecture on Labour Law was delivered on Friday November 3, 2017, by Dr. David Weil, the incoming Dean of the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University in Boston. Dr. Weil is the author of The Fissured Workplace: Why Work Became So Bad for So Many and What Can Be Done to Improve It (Harvard University Press, 2014).
Dr. Weil’s Lecture was delivered to a full and attentive audience of students, practitioners, academics, and other members of the legal and labour relations communities. In his Lecture, Dr. Weil addressed a number of themes regarding “Precarious Work”, which were picked up and amplified during the Fasken Martineau Labour Law Conference, held on Saturday November 4, 2017. After the Lecture, Koskie Minsky LLP sponsored a reception and dinner which allowed the attendees to visit with Mr. David Weil in a more informal and social setting.
The Koskie Minsky University Lecture in Labour Law is an event which our firm is proud to present, as it allows us to interact with law students and give back to the community.
We have attached some photos of the event.
